Benton Moss is the founder of East Rock Development.

Benton also serves as the President and Owner of Simmons & Harris, Inc. (property management & brokerage platform) and Metro Maintenance, Inc (heating, AC, electrical, plumbing contractor).

​Prior to purchasing Simmons & Harris and Metro Maintenance, Benton spent five seasons in the Tampa Bay Rays organization playing professional baseball. After retirement from professional sports, Benton worked with Kane Realty as an analyst on five separate mixed-use developments totaling over $500MM in cost (pre-development, construction management, and lease-up). 

Benton holds a B.A. in Economics and B.S.B.A in Business from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he attended college as a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
